The Downbeatz
Nicholas Reed, was born in Fort Worth, and currently lives in Arlington, Texas. Nick is one of Dallas' up and coming drummers. Playing drums since he was 3, he is now out on the scene in the music community working for different artists and playing gigs around the Texas area.
His favorite genres of music are Jazz, Latin, Hip-Hop/R&B, and Funk. Nicholas first realized his love for drums at church, where one of his biggest influences Chris Walker took him in and showed him what it was like to sit on the
drum chair. Since then, he has loved playing on stages with different artists and bands and playing music. Some of the bands he has played for are Sense Of Direction, GenYration, and his former band Timeless City. Nick also is the Youth drummer at his church Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Tx.
He is now playing for the amazing multi-genre band called, "The Downbeatz", and is also the drummer for a national recording artist named Shy Speaks. He's heavily influenced by some of his few favorite drummers such as, Chris Knox, Chris Walker, George "Spanky" McCurdy, Aaron Spears, Tony Williams, Mike Mitchell, Dave Weckl, Maison Guidry, Shariq Tucker, Rashid Williams, Tony Royster Jr. and his biggest influence Ronald Bruner Jr.

Eric Vazquez
Eric, was born in Lewisville Texas, but grew up in a little town of Mena, Arkansas. Music has been his passion for nearly all his life. A member of the Academy of the Arts Children's Choir, at the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith, from 2007-2010. His musical talent does not stop with singing, but also a muscian who plays multiple instruments. At the age of four, he started playing piano. While still learning piano he picked up guitar, and bass guitar. During his time in Middle School band, he started playing Tenor Saxophone, and was selected by his band director to compete in the All Region Competition.
In 2012 and 2013, he placed first chair tenor sax at the All Region event. This year he competed for All City and made first chair as well. Although these competitions consisted of the classical genre, his disire for Jazz music grew more and more. As he would play classical music in the band program at school in his spare time he was listening to famous Jazz artist such as John Coletrane, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rolins and Miles Davis. He was influenced by their style and sound and soon developed a sound of his own much like some of the older Jazz artist. Outside of being a Jazz saxophonist and keyboard player, Eric sings at Opry's all around the North Texas area. He was also the keyboard player and back up singer in a band called Sense Of Direction, out of Dallas/Fort Worth area. Some of the venues which he has played are, Grapevine Opry, Grapevine Tx. , Wiley Opry, Wiley Tx., Oaklawn Opry, Texarkana Tx., House of Blues, Dallas Tx., and Six Flags Over Tx., Arlington Tx. Eric attends Booker T Washington Performing Arts School, in Dallas Texas and is majoring in Jazz studies.
